Nested keypad menus, announcements and an audio library

Early access call routing grows: menus that nest, spoken or audio messages, announcements before a forward, a reusable audio library, and call types.

Design a richer keypad menu

A menu option can forward to a phone number or SIP address, send the caller to your receptionist, speak a message, play an audio file, open a nested menu, repeat the menu or go back. Each option takes a digit and an optional spoken word, and you decide what happens if no one responds, otherwise the call ends. The editor names each problem before you save, such as a digit used twice or a menu without a prompt.

Announce before connecting and an audio library

A forward can announce something before connecting, typed or as a recording. Uploaded MP3 or WAV recordings are kept in an audio library under the new IVR Audios tab, where you can play, rename and delete them and reuse any of them on an audio step. A recording still used by the call flow cannot be deleted.

Call types in the call log

Keypad menu calls and forwarded calls now appear in the call log as their own records next to AI calls. Calls are labeled AI, IVR or Forwarded in the call log and on the call page, each type is priced at its own per-minute rate, and prices now display in dollars.

Spoken answers can be switched off

Listen for spoken answers lets callers say a choice aloud instead of pressing it. Turn it off to accept key presses only, and the change takes effect when you save.

Behind the scenes. Menu audio can also be uploaded through the Claude connector, and the routing API now describes every response for connected tools.
