March: an AI receptionist built from your website

ReadyToTalk launched. Owners entered a website, got a receptionist and a dedicated phone number, and saw calls, summaries and credits in a dashboard.

A receptionist built from your website

Onboarding started with your website address. The AI that designs your front office read the homepage and drafted a receptionist that knew the business name, services, hours, FAQs and tone of voice. Guardrails followed later in the month: the receptionist answers only from what it knows and offers to take a message for anything else.

A dedicated phone number for every business

Each business received its own phone number during onboarding, shown on the dashboard with a click to copy. The number was released when the subscription was canceled.

Forward your existing number

Call forwarding became an onboarding step. Owners picked their carrier and saw the dial code for AT&T, Verizon or T-Mobile, with general instructions for other carriers. Forwarding could also be set up later from the dashboard.

Call log and after-call emails

The call log listed calls with a search box and opened each one into a detail panel with summary and transcript. After every call the owner received an email with the caller number, duration, status, sentiment, summary, transcript and a recording link when one existed. Caller name and email were pulled from transcripts into leads, with repeat callers recognized.

A paid plan with a free trial, included minutes and credits

Onboarding began with card payments for a monthly plan that opened with a free trial and included minutes. Calls beyond the included minutes drew on a prepaid credit balance with auto-reload. Each call checked the balance before it was answered. The dashboard showed time used to the second and the credit balance, and owners could cancel or keep their subscription from settings.

Guided onboarding and knowledge base

A four step onboarding wizard, Scan, Number, Forward and Done, resumed where the owner left off and collected business details with per-day hours or an open 24/7 switch. A knowledge base page showed the business profile, hours and the receptionist's instructions, let owners edit them and retrain the receptionist.

Account recovery and deletion

Forgot-password and email verification by one-time code arrived, along with a settings page where owners could delete their account and all its data.

Behind the scenes. Founding month: the public site came first; the app, dashboard and API followed within a week.
