Receptionist speaks while it looks things up

The receptionist says a short line while a tool runs instead of going silent, Square must name its location, and Show menu previews what the receptionist sees.

No more silence while a tool runs

While the receptionist looks something up, it says a short general line such as one moment again, instead of staying silent. A tool with its own start line keeps it.

Square connection names its location

The receptionist's Square connection now requires a location for every merchant, even one with a single location, which is picked without a click. The receptionist sells only that location's menu and never guesses one. Saving is held until a location is chosen.

Show menu preview

A Show menu button opens a paged view of exactly what this receptionist sees: its location, its rules including unsaved edits, word search, and held items marked with why, such as no priced variation, not at this location or by rule.

No invented dishes

When a catalog search finds nothing, the receptionist says there is nothing by that name here and asks the caller to repeat or spell it. It no longer names a dish, flavor or variant the search did not return, and never adds one to the order.

Behind the scenes. The AI that designs your front office moved onto a shared brains library; its staff record page changed, nothing changed for owners.
